Retired Excise Officers' Association — Founded
INDRA HOTEL, Kadawata, Gampaha District, Western Province.
On Saturday, 24 May 2025, forty-nine retired excise officers gathered at the INDRA HOTEL banquet hall in Kadawata to ceremoniously inaugurate the Retired Excise Officers' Association. This day — and this event — stands as a historic milestone for all retired excise officers and officerettes of Sri Lanka.

Department History
Fundamental Objectives of the Excise Department
Collecting State Revenue
Providing government revenue through taxes, licenses, and excise duties.
Law Enforcement
Enforcing laws and regulations under the Excise Ordinance.
Preventing Illicit Liquor & Drugs
Raiding illegal substances such as kasippu, goda, heroin, and ice.

Protecting the public from harm caused by dangerous substance use.
